The Middle School Bellarmine Speech Team traveled to St. Mary’s in Glasgow, where every team member earned a blue ribbon, the highest honor—an outstanding accomplishment! Winners included:

• Duet titled The Speech Contest is Cancelled: Nealy Jennings and Sophia Perez

• Duet titled Memories: Kyra Johnson and Fatima Kamara

• Duet titled Count Dracula: Piper Howell and Charlotte Tippie

Midweek, the Sacred Heart High School Speech Team defended their title as Kaysinger Conference Champions for the second year in a row. Top finishes included:

• Prose: Anthony Sierra (1st), Mary Butner (2nd)

• Duet/Duo: Zach Anderson & Abram May (1st); Sofia Guevara & Madison Hill (2nd)

• Radio: Anthony Sierra (1st), Dakota Williams (2nd)

• Storytelling: Zach Anderson (3rd)

• Humorous Interpretation: Olivia Dillon (1st)

• Original Works: Alessandra Pacheco (1st)

• Improv Duet Acting: Mary Butner & Olivia Dillon (1st)
