  • Congratulations to the 2023-2024 Student  Council officers; Mariah Van Leer President, Emily Hesse, Faithlynn Parks, Avery Epple, and Sophia Carney Vice-Presidents. Please give them a high five for stepping up to lead our school. 
  • The Gremlin Student Store and Cafe are open every day after school. The April special is gatorade and Airhead Extremes for only $2.50. Please stop by today to see Michael and Lexi.
  • Students in grades 6-12 did you get a yearbook flier on your locker? Follow the directions on the flier and order your yearbook! We have 27 yearbooks available for you to buy. There is also a yellow list on Mrs. Howell’s door. A big thank you to everyone who has already purchased their yearbook. 
  • Child size wristbands for Coen are still available and are in the school office. We are asking for a minimum $2 donation with all proceeds going to the Brown family. 
  • Sammy’s Student Council committee is meeting today in Mrs. Howell’s room over lunch. We will be talking about the back to school sale for fall and our marketing campaign. All of STUCO is welcome!
  • Monday during homeroom the 23-34 STUCO officers will have a photo shoot. Please go to Mrs. Howell’s room. 
  • High School students we are excited to announce that next Tuesday, April 25 Student Council is hosting a special movie experience for all of you to attend. We will meet in the commons after first hour and walk to the Hayden Liberty Center. We will return in time for lunch. More details to come or ask a member of Student Council! 
  • Did you know that Coach Jennewein, Dr. Register and Mrs. Tippie’s Grandparents will be inducted into our Sacred Heart School Hall of Fame? We will be celebrating these wonderful individuals at our Sacred Heart School Hall of Fame event on Saturday, April 29. We’re asking for student volunteers (grades 6-12) to help at the dinner and program. The sign up sheet is on the Key Club service board located by Dr. Register’s office. 
  • There will be a meeting on Friday, May 5th during homeroom in the McGremlin Gym for any boy 8-11th grade who is interested in playing basketball next year. 

 

TODAY IN HISTORY

 

Spring Sports Action:

Baseball – (10-2) The SH Varsity boys next game is Thursday at Liberty Stadium vs the Cole Camp Bluebirds.  Game time is 5pm.

Softball – The varsity girls lost their ballgame last night in Lincoln by a score of 11-5.  Their next game is Monday at Cole Camp.  Start time is 5pm.

Golf – The Sacred Heart boys golf team turned in some of their best scores of the year at the Boonville Tri. Competing against Boonville and Moberly in very windy conditions the Grems turned in a team score of 184.  Junior Luke Jenkins was the match medalist with a 1 over 36.  The varsity competes today at the Stover Invitational, start time 9:00am. 

Girls Soccer – (0-10) The girls next action is this evening at home vs Fatima High School.  Start time 5:00pm. 

High School Track – The Sacred Heart track and field team competed at the Bluebird Invitational yesterday turning in some excellent performances.

  • Junior Jackson Manning won the 1600m run.
  • Senior Kate Carney won the shot put, placed 2nd in discus and 4th in javelin 
  • 4×800 m relay – comprised of freshmen Logan Howell, Max Van Leer, Jared Owens and junior Jackson Manning took first place 
  • 4×400 m relay – made up of freshmen Max Van Leer and Jared Owens, juniors Reuben Smith and Jackson Manning took second place
  • Senior Mariana Restrepo – fourth in long jump

The Gremlin’s next meet is Tuesday at Smith-Cotton.

JH Track – The JH track team competed yesterday in Smithton.  Their next meet is tonight in Knob Noster.  Start time is 4:00. Early dismissal @ 2:45.
