2022-2023 Enrollment Now Open!

The enrollment process for 2022-2023 has begun! The FACTS Application window for 2022-2023 school year opened on November 1.

Here are a few reminders:

  • All Families (both current families and those new to SHS) MUST be VIRTUS Safe Environment compliant in order to enroll their children for the 22-23 school year.

(This is a school, parish and diocesan effort designed to provide the safest, most secure environment possible in which to educate the children entrusted to our care.  Thank you for doing your part to help us in this vitally important venture.)

  • All families will be able to use the 2020 tax returns to complete the application.

  • The grant/aid application fee is waived for the 2022-2023 school year.

  • All families meeting the early bird deadline of January 12, 2022 will receive a $25 discount on their enrollment processing fee when completing enrollment before March 15, 2022.

  • Processing fees at the time of enrollment are $150 per family.  These are non-refundable fees and will NOT be applied to tuition.

  • To be eligible for named scholarships the FACTS Aid and Award application must be submitted by January 12, 2022.

  • The cost to educate a student for 2022-2023 will be:

    • K-5 $6,771

    • 6-12 $8,335

(Thanks to extremely conscientious efforts on behalf of all involved in the budget process this is the first increase in the ‘Cost to Educate’ since we implemented the Cost Based – Needs Based model prior to the 2018-2019 school year.)

  • Every family that completes the FACTS Aid & Award application will receive some level of assistance based on their individual situation.

  • If you do not wish to request tuition assistance, please notify Jessica Pyle, Finance Director, at jpyle@gogremlins.com of your intent to enroll.

FACTS Tuition Assistance Application Night will be Thursday, November 18.

  • November 18 from 6-8 pm in the SHS Commons

  • If you are coming, please bring your 2020 Federal Income Tax Return with you, household expense calculations, student information, and user name and password for the grant/aid application system.

Please remember that the primary purpose for enrollment early in 2022 is to allow us to be the best possible stewards of the resources we have to effectively educate our students!

We plan to have a good handle on enrollment numbers prior to offering teacher contracts for the 2022-2023 school year (this occurs in March each year).  Since salaries and benefits have, by far, the greatest impact on our budget we hope to make sure that our staffing accurately and efficiently meets the needs of our students and families.

This timeline should also help us be proactive when we see that we have teacher needs to fill, allowing us to recruit and attain the best teaching talent possible for our students. We also hope that this helps each of you as you plan for your household budgets moving forward.
