SACRED HEART SCHOOL
Extraordinary Catholic Education. Through Christ. For ALL!
Today is Friday, March 24th, 2023
- Today is the Feast day of St. Oscar Romero. Oscar Romero is a modern day martyr, giving up his life for his faith in 1980 in San Salvador. Let’s Pray….
- Morning Prayer
A Prayer of Oscar Romero
Dear Father God,
We know that we accomplish in our lifetime only a tiny fraction of the magnificent enterprise that is Your work. No prayer fully expresses our faith. No confession brings perfection. No single program accomplishes the Church’s mission.
But we plant the seeds that one day will grow. We water seeds already planted, knowing that they hold future promise. We cannot do everything, and there is a sense of liberation in realizing that. This enables us to do something, and to do it very well.
We are workers, not master builders; ministers, not messiahs. We are prophets of a future that is not our own. Amen.
- Pledge of Allegiance
