Greetings SHS Families,
The SH Golf Tournament and Family Fun day is only two weeks away (Monday, September 30). I hope you are making plans to join us.
We still have room for 10 to 12 teams in the golf tournament portion of the event. Teams play in a 3 person scramble format.
Everyone is invited to the FREE dinner and family fun event that afternoon. Please check out the event flyers attached to this edition of the SH Beat for full information.
We would also like to say a special thank you to the Active Parents Club. APC had its first meeting of the year yesterday morning in the commons. The meeting was highlighted by Ms Close providing an interesting update on the progress of the high school Scholar Bowl program.
The club also approved over $4,000 of requests from faculty and staff for a variety of important needs. This is such a vital service to our school. Your work with selling the Discount Cards is important & going to great causes. Thank you so much!
Speaking of Discount Cards… if you see that you are not going to be able to sell yours please get them returned to the school office. We have some folks who have sold theirs and are asking for more. Thanks again!

Sacred Heart Youth Basketball Sign-ups are HERE
It’s that time of year … sign-ups for Sacred Heart youth basketball! We welcome all 3rd – 6th graders to sign-up to play in the Kaysinger Youth Sports League. Sign-ups are due no later than Friday, October 4th.

University of Central Missouri Jennies Women’s Golf Free Clinic
Fall Parish Work Day
This Saturday is scheduled to be a work day at SH parish to do our annual fall clean up. We will meet at 9am and complete around 1 or 2pm. Plan to bring along with you some painting tools and basic repair tools as we have done in the past.

St. Vincent de Paul Parish – FIRST MASS!
Please make plans to join us for the first ever mass of St. Vincent de Paul parish! This takes place on Sunday, September 22 at 10:30am. Mass will be held at the Heckart Performing Arts Center on the campus of Smith-Cotton High School.
The Most Reverend Bishop W. Shawn McKnight will be here to serve as the main presider with Fr. Mark Miller and our pastors Fr. Joseph Corel and Fr. David Veit concelebrating. It will be a beautiful and joyous celebration. Please make plans to bring the children and join us.
There will be a reception at the Knight of Columbus Hall immediately following.

El torneo de golf del SH y día de diversión familiar será en dos semanas (lunes 30 de septiembre). Espero que estén planeando acompañarnos.
Aún tenemos espacio para 10 o 12 equipos en la porción del evento del torneo de golf. Los equipos juegan en un formato de 3 personas.

Me gustaría también agradecer de forma especial al Club de Padres Activos. El APC tuvo su primera junta del año ayer por la mañana en las áreas comunes. La junta se destacó al tener a la Srita. Close proporcionando una interesante actualización sobre el progreso del programa de nivel Preparatoria llamado Scholar Bowl.
El club aprobó más de $4,000 en peticiones de parte de nuestros docentes y personal para una variedad de necesidades importantes. Esto es un servicio vital para nuestra escuela. Su trabajo de vender las tarjetas de descuento es importante y se destina a causas grandiosas. ¡Muchas gracias!

Curso Intensivo Gratuito de Golf Femenil Jennies en la Universidad Central de Missouri
Día de Trabajo Parroquial de Otoño
Este sábado está programado para ser día de trabajo en la parroquia del SH y hacer nuestra limpieza de otoño. Nos vamos a reunir a las 9am y terminaremos alrededor de la 1 o 2pm. Planee traer con usted herramientas para pintar y algunas herramientas básicas para reparaciones así como lo hemos hecho anteriormente.

Parroquia de San Vicente de Paul – ¡PRIMERA MISA!
¡Por favor haga planes para acompañarnos en la primera misa de la Parroquia de San Vicente de Paul! Esta se llevará a cabo el domingo 22 de septiembre a las 10:30am. La misa será en Heckart Performing Arts Center en el campus de Smith-Cotton High School.
