Announcements:

  • Special thanks to all those students who volunteered their time yesterday to help with the Hall of Fame event.  It was a wonderful day and a beautiful celebration!
  • Today STUCO will have a meeting during lunch in the commons.
  • The Sophomores will have a class meeting at Lunch, in the commons, on TUESDAY.
  • Envirothon will have a lunch meeting on Wednesday, Sept 18 in Mrs. Hagebusch’s room.
  • Cheer will have a lunch meeting on Wednesday, September 18 in Mrs.Starke’s room.
  • Mrs. Hagebusch is still in need of some high schoolers to work the blood drive from 3-6 on September 19th. Please see her ASAP. This is a great way to get some service hours done!
  • If you DO NOT intend on selling your Discount Cards from APC. Please return them to the office. We have other students who are willing to sell them.

Sports Action:

Volleyball: The varsity’s (3-4-1) went 0-3-1 in the very tough Springfield Hillcrest Tournament over the weekend.  SH travels to Columbia to take on Hickman tonight and open Conference play Tuesday, at Lincoln.  The JV (2-2) first serve tonight is at 5:30.

 

JH Volleyball: The JH Grems opened their season this weekend in the Sacred Heart Tournament.  The girls went 1-3 in the tournament. Their next action is Tuesday in Lincoln with a 5pm start time.

 

Soccer:  The varsity soccer team (2-4) lost a tough 1-0 decision to Raytown High School Saturday morning in the final round of the Clinton Tournament.  The boys open conference play with our first home match on Thursday at Clover Dell Park. SH plays Green Ridge with a 5pm start.

 

JH Soccer: The JH Grems opened their season Friday with a 2-2 draw vs Christian Fellowship of Columbia.  The Grems play the Otterville Eagles after the varsity game on Thursday at Clover Dell Park.

 

Girls Golf: The varsity girls’ next action is on Tuesday in the Marshall Tournament.  Tee time is 9am.

 

Football: The varsity football team improved their record to (1-2) with a 38-0 victory over the Chilhowee Indians on Friday night.  The boys travel to Appleton City on Friday night. Kickoff is at 7pm.

 

JH Football: The JH football team opens their season this evening in Chilhowee.  Kickoff is at 5pm.
