Faith & Service

Sacred Heart Campus Ministry consists of many facets of the Catholic Faith. We believe in our motto of Extraordinary Catholic Education through Christ for all!

HOLY MASS:
Weekly Mass for grades K-12 (Please see Google calendar)

RETREATS:
Grades 8-12 and faculty attend at least one retreat per year as required by the Diocese

SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION:
If your child has been Baptized in the Catholic Church by age 6, they could be eligible to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and 1st Eucharist as part of the 2nd-grade curriculum.

CONFIRMATION Program and Preparation: TBA

RIGHT OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION FOR CHILDREN: Any child past the age of 7 who have not been Baptised, and would like to learn more about the Catholic faith and receive all the Sacraments of Initiation can register with the Pastor and Mrs. Bolin for entrance into the RCIC program.

MISSION TRIPS:
8th grade and 12th-grade students are given the opportunity to go on age-appropriate Mission Trips for many service opportunities.

VOCATION OPPORTUNITIES:
6th-grade students attend Vocation Day at the Cathedral. A fun day with games and activities to increase awareness of all Vocations.

11th and 12th-grade students are given numerous opportunities throughout their high school curriculum to explore all vocations and job availabilities.

PRAYER SERVICES:
Every student is given the opportunity to pray several times during their day! We begin and end our day with prayer as well as before and after meals.

We provide the opportunity for:

    • Adoration
    • The Living Rosary
    • All School Advent prayer services
    • Stations of the Cross during Lent
    • Prayers before and after all meetings and athletic events
    • Reconciliation any time upon request and twice during special times during the Liturgical year

CHOIR: Each of our student Masses are led by our student or faculty choir under the direction of Mr. Darrin Hartman. Each December we look forward to the “Follow the Star” program.

    CATHOLIC TEEN CONFERENCES:
Each high school student is given the opportunity to attend Diocesan and National Teen conferences throughout the school year and the summer.

      • National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC),
      • Steubenville
      • Notre Dame Vision
      • Camp Maccabee
      • Camp Siena
      • TEC
      • CHRISTpower
      • Right to Life March
      • And other Youth Rallies provided by the Diocese

      SERVICE:
Students in grades 6-12 are required to participate in service to others as part of our Catholic Christian identity. Each of our classes from kindergarten to 12th grade participates in one or more service project every year.

      Matthew 25: 35,36

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in. I needed clothes and you clothed me. I was sick and you looked after me, in prison and you came to visit me.”
