The Scholastic Book Fair held in the SHS Commons last week was a huge success!

Thank you for supporting the fair and more importantly getting excited about the opportunity to buy books for home reading.  Studies show that if parents get excited about reading books to children at a young age, the child’s love of reading will grow as well.  We also know that children who are read to at least three times a week by a family member are almost twice as likely to score in the top 25% in reading compared to children who are read to less than 3 times a week.

The next Scholastic Book Fair will be in the Spring, March 20-24. Just keep reading!
