5.15.2012: Boys Golf in the Lead at State

Today is the Feast Day of St. Isidore
Menu for Today: Cheeseburger, French fries, and oranges.
Menu for Wednesday: Chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes & gravy, and bread.
- All girls interested in Girl's Golf for the fall, please sign up outside Mrs. Sobaski's classroom.
- Senior and Eighth Grade finals begin on Wednesday. Let's be conscientious of the atmosphere in the building while these tests are being administered.
- Final PAC meeting of the year is scheduled for Thursday at 7 AM.
- Varsity and junior varsity tennis players - turn in your uniforms to Mrs. Schreiner by this Thursday, May 17th. All spring sports athletes should be conscientious about getting your gear returned as your season ends!
- Attention 7th graders - remember to bring your items to Mrs. Walker's room for the Animal Shelter. They are due by this Friday, May 18th.
- High School students - would you like to volunteer to be a counselor for Camp Blue Sky? The dates are July 30th - August 3rd from 7:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. You would receive approximately 35-40 service hours. Come to the office for more information.
Sports Action:
- Girls Soccer - The girl's take on the St. Paul's Saints in the District Tournament Championship game tonight at 5 PM. The tournament is being played in Concordia.
- Boys Golf - The varsity boys shot a 324 yesterday and are in the lead after the first day of state play. The tournament resumes this morning at Freemont Hills Golf Course in Nixa, MO. In the run form the individual state title Jared Dey is tied for the lead at 78. John Beykirch is one back at 79 and David Baldwin is 3 back at 81. Should be a great day!
- Boys Baseball - The boys beat second seeded Concordia High School (ranked 2nd in the state Class 1 as well) in the semi-finals of the District Tournament last night by a score of 8-4. They take on top seeded and top-ranked Santa Fe High School on Wednesday at 6 PM. The game will be played at Centennial Park Field.
- Tennis - The tennis team concluded their season in competition on Saturday in Marshall. None of the Gremlins advanced to the sectional round of state play.
